Patrick, so much wonderful work here but this was the one that stopped me in my tracks. I love it. I've read all the comments from your fans and can only add my praise as well. You sure did not cop out on the painting behind the girl. It's got me pulled into it as well. I also stood as a highschool kid (in the forties) in front of the little ballerina with her faded, tatered too-too and gazed into the long ago dance student's presence. You've captured it all. I admire many of your pieces, but "Visit to the Museum" is my favorite - it is not only very beautifully executed but it is also a captivating, multi-layered tribute to Degas whose work I, as you, like very much! Amazing painting. I love the idea, the composition, and the craftsmanship. This painting should be hanging on the wall alongside Degas' Ballerina. Patrick, you are a master with a brush, pencil, piece of pastel or whatever you decide on working with. Bravo!
