The title reflects the obvious fact of the painting's revision in an underwater setting and the replacement of the zoot-suited dodoman with one of my mermaliens - namely, C. Finneas Waddingpoole - who wears the symbiont mask of the ancient mariner - the Fin Cephalarvum... "I am clay in my own hands, a pillar of marble at my feet, free to sculpt and mold, chisel and hew, carve and smooth the person I have become, my hand guided by my belief in myself and the vision of who I want to be, and as such, I am my own Creator; free to know that my actions determine what's in store for me, that my imagination knows no bounds; free to impose my will upon the future, to make myself an historical link in the causal chain and to know that the difference between choosing a path for myself and having one laid out for me matters because there are no limits."
Patrick Pierson: A TABLEAU OF DREAMS, NO LIMITS Born Pádraig Anton-Piers in 1953 on the outliers of Baile Átha Cliath, Éire (Ireland), the artist changed his name to Patrick Pierson in 1961 when he and his family immigrated to America. Initially represented and published by the Meisner Gallery in New York City, Patrick eventually settled in Palm Beach, Florida and established Fyshwerks Studio Gallery - a fine art studio, smithy, display gallery and publishing house that would become the birthplace for the creatures that were destined to inhabit the realm of Planet Zootopia.
